French Chiffonier
When designing this cabinet, I drew my inspiration form French furniture of the 1800's. Every aspect of this chiffonier is decoration, from the beautifully figured Mahogany, the rich Tasmanian Musk burl veneers on the drawer front and door panels, the detailed marquetry tassles, the fine inlays and stringings and the hand carved grapes, leaves and vines that adorn the back.

Photo 2 shows the array of detail in the joinery, marquetry and veneering, while photos 3 & 4 highlight the detail in the carvings. Note that the 'ebonised' carvings have been rubbed with 22ct gold guilding wax.
